One of Those Nights

Y’all! Friday night was a mission accomplished in joy and mischief. My girl Kayla and I both freshly primed for impact...hit the streets with intentional swagger. We were armed with lipstick, charm, and the kind of energy that warns: you’re in our orbit now.

We pulled up in her Dad’s black-on-black Lincoln MKX crossover, a chariot for goddesses on a reconnaissance of revelry. First stop: a spot recently resurrected from a bar/club past into a sleek social bunker. Not a place for amateurs; a place where the drinks flow, the music gets under your skin, and the vibe is off the chain!

We hadn’t been out in months. The streets had forgotten us... A few drinks later (responsibly, of course, though let’s just say I allowed myself a buzz that reminded me how good it feels to let the world tilt a little), the conversation and laughter flowed like champagne.

And then, A guy, sitting nearby, turns out we go all the way back: elementary school faces meeting adult memories. He paid our tab with the kind of bold generosity that leaves your mind racing with possibilities.

We Saw “Why Did I Get Married?” Tyler Perry doesn’t just direct; he exposes the raw circuitry of desire, loyalty, and controlled chaos. Angie’s performance was unrelenting and hilarious. I whispered to my girl: if our lives had a stand-in, that’s the blueprint.

Afterward? Chill... Let the world run its chaos while I retreat.... A few hours to myself.. just me... scheming for the next opportunity to move...

By the time the weekend wound down, I was Full!.

Carry on, agents. The world waits for no one, but it sure notices when we arrive.
