People crave control, not connection.
That’s why so many relationships feel like politics—negotiations of ego instead of partnerships of purpose.
We trade vulnerability for validation.
We replace trust with transaction.
And then we call it love.
But if you can’t trust the one you’re lying next to, what are you really building?
Love is structure. Lust is smoke.
And smoke can’t hold you when life gets heavy.
