Some people are just a drain. They’ll break promises, downplay your vision, judge instead of uplift, and disappear when things get real. That’s not friendship. That’s dead weight.
If you want the right people around you, start by being the right person. Be loyal. Be consistent. Stand on your values. Walk with integrity. Life will handle the pruning—those who can’t grow with you will fall off, and the ones meant for your journey will show up.
When I count blessings, I thank God first—the source of my strength and provision. Then I look to family and the allies who hold me down. Circles change with time: some leave, some arrive, but the ones who remain make life lighter, sharper, richer.
The old wisdom still rings true: birds of a feather flock together. If you’re an eagle, don’t expect chickens to understand your flight path.
So protect your energy. Focus it where it grows. Be intentional. Heal your past, stay rooted in the present, and design your future.
Remember: your circle is a reflection of your standards. Raise your standards—and your circle will either rise with you, or fade away.
