People ask for change. They demand streets fixed, drainage repaired, and public safety improved. Then, when crews roll in and fences go up, suddenly it’s unbearable.
This is the paradox of progress in the city: the very work they clamored for brings temporary inconvenience. If we want results, we must accept the cost... The disruption is not neglect; it is the price of improvement. Complaining after asking for action is a luxury the city cannot afford.
Fixing a city is never neat. It is loud, messy, inconvenient and necessary.
