As a woman who's seen the struggles men face, especially in our black community, it really hits home. Guys always feel like they have to fit into this narrow idea of what it means to be a man, constantly hustling to prove themselves. But it's like they're stuck in this never-ending competition where they're judged if they don't meet certain standards.
It breaks my heart to see men overlooked when they're trying to better themselves or make something of their lives because it's not seen as "manly" enough. And it's unfair that they're often only valued based on their ability to father children, as if that's the only thing they're good for.
But I understand where they're coming from. They're just trying to find their way through all these messed-up expectations. We need to create a space where people can be themselves without being weighed down by outdated norms. It's time to see each other for who we really are and support each other in breaking free from these harmful stereotypes.
