I've been going through a tough time recently and wanted to share what’s been happening. I usually keep things to myself when I'm feeling down, but I've realized it’s important to talk about what's bothering you sometimes.
For the past week, I've been dealing with intense stress, which feels a lot like when I had to take cortisone on and off for over a year. It's been keeping me up at night, and last night, I couldn't get to sleep until 4 am. I ended up being awake for a whole 23 hours straight. It was really tough.
Today, I woke up without any appetite, which is unusual for me. I think it might be stress-related. Work has been particularly demanding lately, with longer hours and more tasks than usual. I didn't realize how much it was affecting me until now.
I know I need to take care of myself, so I plan to hop on the treadmill and clear my head. Music always helps me relax and unwind.
I've been thinking about how stress affects our bodies and health. We all experience stress differently, whether it's short-term things like getting lost or missing the bus, or long-term challenges like dealing with discrimination or illness.
Research shows that stress can really mess with our bodies. It can make us more susceptible to illness and exacerbate existing health problems. I've been noticing some symptoms that might be related to stress, like trouble sleeping, headaches, and difficulty concentrating. It's eye-opening to see how stress can impact so many aspects of our health, from digestion to mental well-being.
I just wanted to share what’s been on my mind lately. I'm taking it one step at a time and trying to prioritize self-care. Thanks for listening.
