People are supposed to help each other grow, one way or another. I can honestly say I’m a better person because of what I’ve learned and how my mind has been opened through every relationship I’ve been in. Before, I was blind to some things—then love (or something like it) came along and woke me up.
Funny thing is, the parts of myself I became aware of probably meant nothing to the person I was with. Meanwhile, I was over here trying to learn everything about them, only to realize they were probably only meant to be in my life for a season. But that’s the way it goes sometimes.
At the end of the day, I’m the sum of everything I’ve been through—every love, every loss, every lesson. And yet, I’m still me.
