Listen, sis, sometimes we know exactly what we want... or do we? Let’s be honest, our expectations can get a little... complicated. Here's a list of things we expect, but somehow they just never seem to align perfectly. 🤔
1. He should be a strong, protective man, but also sensitive and open with his feelings. Be tough, but if you don't cry during The Notebook, are you even trying?
2. I want him to work hard and be successful, but if he’s too busy for me, he’s obviously not prioritizing the relationship. Oh, you’re grinding to build our future? Cute. But date night is tonight, babe.
3. He needs to be confident and secure, but not so confident that he thinks he doesn’t need to check in regularly. I love that you're independent, but if you don’t text me back in 10 minutes, we’re gonna have problems. 🙃
4. I need him to be in great shape, but I also want to go out for brunch, dinner, and dessert multiple times a week. Yes, I’ll take the pancakes and the six-pack, please! 🍰💪
5. He should always be there for me emotionally, but not be too clingy. You’re so supportive… but can you support me from over there? Like, five feet away? Thanks.
6. He should know what I need without me telling him, but also definitely listen when I tell him what I need. Wait, you didn’t read my mind today? Huh, interesting.
7. I want a guy who’s ambitious and driven, but he better not be out too late working on those goals. Build an empire, babe, but don’t miss dinner or the movie or the 8 p.m. cuddle time.
8. He should be romantic and sweep me off my feet, but also understand I need my space sometimes. Show up with flowers, but not, like, every week... but also, why didn’t you bring flowers?
9. I want a man who's spontaneous and fun, but don’t you dare surprise me with something I wasn’t expecting. Love surprises… as long as I know when they’re coming.
10. He should be masculine and strong but not afraid to show vulnerability and cry. Be a man… but also, don’t be too manly. Balance is key, darling. 💁🏾♀️
Moral of the story: Women know what they want... unless we want something completely opposite, and then we want that too. 😂
