The Season of No Longer

2024 taught me one thing loud and clear: I don’t have to.

I don’t have to be the one always reaching, always fixing, always making room for those who never saved a seat for me. I have spent seasons pouring from a cup that never seemed to get refilled, stretching myself thin for people who only saw me as convenience. But no more.

This is the season of no longer.

  • No longer will I force connections that should have unraveled long ago.
  • No longer will I carry weights that were never mine to bear.
  • No longer will I set myself on fire to keep others warm.

Because the truth is, real ones don’t need reminders to show up. And those who let their absence speak louder than their presence? They made their choice.

See, I could tell my side. I could roll out the receipts, timestamps, and proof that would make you see a few people in a different light. But why? The truth has a way of peeling back the layers on its own. People always reveal themselves in time, and I don’t have to dirty my hands to clean up their mess.

Spiritual growth? That’s the real work. It’s not just a moment—it’s an everyday commitment to doing better, to choosing peace when chaos is easier, to trusting God’s timing when you want to snatch the clock out of His hands. It’s hard. It’s humbling. It’s heavy.

But it’s worth it.

Because at the end of the day, I choose me. And that choice? Unshakable.
