Covenant Language vs Emotional Language

Scripture does speak strongly about sexual union.

It uses covenant-level language:

Genesis 2:24Genesis\ 2:24

“Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.”

That “one flesh” language is real.

But here’s where people often misapply it:

Not every experience becomes formal covenant in the legal or marital sense.
But every experience does leave relational imprint.

The body remembers what the soul tries to rename.
