That Time We went Shoppin'
Girl, let me take you back 10 years to when me and Kendall hit up Houston, and I swear, it was like a whole transformation went down. I'm chilling in the backseat of Kendall's ride, grinning like crazy 'cause guess where we headed? Ikea, baby! Forget that basic Shapstown Mall, we on a whole different level. Now, leading up to this trip, I'm stressing hard about hitting up this sorry excuse for a mall. I mean, people been telling me it's straight-up wack with its rundown shops and sad excuse for finds. But Kendall, bless his heart, ain't even bothered. He drags me into Ikea like it's no big deal. And let me tell you, sis, I was shook. I'm strolling through them aisles like it's a dream come true, while Kendall's just picking up a few things for his kitchen. But I'm on cloud nine, picturing his wife's face when she sees his haul. Fast forward to now, and Kendall's calling me up, expecting some juicy gossip or something. But all I got for him is a rant about these dang bookshelves. Can you believe it? Me, dodging shelves like they're the plague! I can't even deal with the thought of trying to organize my books on those things. It's a whole mess waiting to happen, and I ain't about that life. So, I'm venting to Kendall, and he's just sighing on the other end like he saw it coming. Like, yeah, I know, Kendall, I ain't ever gonna be that grown-up who gets hyped about furniture shopping. But here's the kicker, girl: turns out, he ain't completely off base. 'Cause while furniture shopping used to be my jam, now it's just another headache. Who knew growing up would be this much of a trip?
