Hey y'all, let's talk about something that's been bothering me lately. You know how some folks in our community were dissing Derrick Jaxn's wife for wearing a beanie, thinking it was some basic bonnet? They were going in on her appearance, and it didn't sit right with me. But now, those same people are out here rocking messy outfits, busted shoes, and yeah, you guessed it, bonnets! The hypocrisy is unreal.
I ain't one to judge, but we all know a little something about looking good and sometimes messing up. Why not just own it?
Sporting a bonnet out in public? That's a big fashion faux pas, no doubt. But instead of just letting it be a minor slip, it's turned into this big debate. Where's all this coming from? 'Cause let me tell you, seeing Black women rocking bonnets everywhere ain't exactly common.
How we present ourselves shouldn't define our worth. If you're secure in who you are, none of this stuff should faze you.
Seems like there's a push to justify questionable choices, making it easy for others to put us down. And this whole "feminism" or "empowerment" excuse? Nah, it's not cutting it.
And as for mistaking Derrick Jaxn's wife's beanie for a bonnet? Man, it just shows some people need to get their eyes checked. We need to raise our standards, y'all.
