You know what grinds my gears?
Dealing with socially and emotionally immature folks who refuse to
take responsibility for their unspoken thoughts, feelings, and expectations. It's like they expect me to be a mind reader, decoding their cryptic messages or doing detective work to figure out what they really mean. If someone truly cared about being understood, they'd just say it straight up instead of making it my job to decipher their vague hints. But no, they dump the burden of communication on me and then act surprised when I can't read their minds. It's like they never learned that clear communication is a two-way street. And don't get me started on those who play the passive-aggressive game. They expect me to respond to what they secretly feel instead of what they actually say. And if I don't play along, suddenly I'm the bad guy. Take yes or no questions, for instance. I give a yes or no answer because that's what they asked for. But then they act like I'm crazy for not reading between the lines. Newsflash: I'm not a psychic. It's frustrating how society celebrates this kind of fake communication while expecting me to bend over backward to accommodate it. But enough is enough. I'm setting a boundary: no more decoding hidden meanings or passive-aggressive nonsense. From now on, I'm only responding to direct and efficient communication. It's time to be the change I want to see.
