Love isn't a destination where you can kick back; it's a constant journey that requires both parties to show up and put in the work every single day. It's not about expecting someone else to fill your cup; it's about making space for them in your heart and life without expecting anything in return. It's not about grand gestures but the little things and the intentions behind them. Love is about connecting on a soul level. Despite society's messed-up standards, real transformative love exists, but even then, it still takes work—communication, compromise, respect—to keep the flame burning bright. So yes, my journey has been a wild ride of unlearning and embracing the messy, beautiful reality of love.
