She's Gone: It's over

As Hurricane Francine moves past us, I’m reflecting on a day that was both unusual and reassuring. While the news has been filled with heroic efforts and chaos elsewhere, my area and home remained unaffected. We didn’t lose power, so I’m excited to head home on time—something I didn’t expect.

Today was my first time working through a storm, and though I didn’t have to go in, I chose to. With only six of us on shift, it was calm for most of the day. Things got a bit hectic around 7:00 p.m. with alarms going off and some power flickering, but nothing too severe.

Overall, I’m grateful for the relatively clear weather and ready for some much-needed rest. It’s been a strange but manageable day, and I’m looking forward to unwinding after this...
