Entitled Egos: Lessons in Disappointment

You know, some folks just have this attitude that screams "I'm better than you," no matter who they're dealing with. It's like they think they're too good for common decency.

A while back, I was part of this awesome group helping out in our community, and we were pumped when a big-shot local politician agreed to meet with us. But when she showed up, it was clear she thought we were beneath her. She barely let anyone talk, acted like our work was a waste of her time, and just acted plain rude.

And it didn't stop there. Every person from her office I ran into had the same snobby vibe, like they were royalty or something. They only wanted to be associated with us when it looked good in the press, even though they never lifted a finger to help us out.

Turns out, this politician lost her bid for a council seat to someone who was just as much of a jerk. It was disappointing, but if you act like you're better than everyone else and surround yourself with people who act the same, don't be shocked when nobody wants to support you.
