There is a law older than kingdoms
and deeper than law written by men.
It is this:
Dignity, once recognized, cannot be confined.
It does not belong to one tribe,
one class,
or one moment.
And when a people choose to honor it in one place
but deny it in another,
they fracture themselves.
“So God created man in his own image…” — Book of Genesis 1:27
From this, the measure is established:
If dignity is real, it is universal.
If it is not universal, it was never truly recognized.
