Hurricane Francine is expected to make landfall by tomorrow at 8:00 p.m., so there's still a little time to grab a few more things before everything shuts down. I've got the basics covered—battery packs, Flashlights water—but there are a few random items and extra snacks I want to pick up to bring to work. The news keeps shifting, saying Francine might head toward Texas or swing east toward Louisiana, so it's all up in the air.
Meanwhile, some of my family still seem like they don't quite grasp the seriousness of a natural disaster— their preparation is way behind. I'm just trying to stay ahead of it, keeping an eye on Fox 8, WWL, and WDSU for the latest updates. After today, it’s work and waiting it out. Hoping for the best, but staying ready.
